HUNTING
Hunting
We are skilled and passionate hunters. We hope that our mountain savvy and dedication to wildlands conservation may earn your respect. Our hunts are based out of the small community of Babb, Montana. Chief Mountain, prominent just above town, is sacred ground for the Blackfeet people. Babb is next to Glacier National Park and right under the Canadian border. Trailheads a few minutes away enable us to access some spectacular hunting country. We mount up horseback on frosty mornings and head for the meadows and high basins. Big bulls and bruiser rams are up there somewhere. Maybe we will locate a good one along a stand of knurled spruce. This evening you will be back down at Duck Lake Lodge for a hearty meal and comfortable accommodations.
Fair Chase
We take pride in our hunting heritage and traditions. Our fair chase hunts require the highest standards of ethical conduct. We may caution that an animal is too distant for a reasonable shot or that available light and other conditions preclude shooting. Our judgment will be the final word in those situations. We are confident that you will appreciate this high quality hunting experience offered through the Blackfeet Nation.
Scouting
Our enthusiasm for outfitting spills over to numerous days spent scouting remote basins before our hunters arrive. We’re pretty efficient when glassing boulder-strewn slopes and pretty inept photographers. Seems like our binoculars and cameras are constant companions regardless.
