BIG GAME
Chief Mountain Outfitters specialize in trophy big game hunting along the scenic western foothills and mountain peaks of the Blackfeet Nation. Our country is one of the most spectacular landscapes in North America. Enlightened wildlife conservation provides an incomparable experience for skilled hunters.
Elk
Resonant bugling of big bull elk echoes across our mountain meadows each autumn. Elk hunting is in our blood. Please contact us should you be a successful bidder for one of these coveted Permits. Archery season begins in September and the October rifle season lasts well into December. There will be some very good bulls for us to help you locate.
Bighorn Sheep
The Rocky Mountain Front provides exceptional habitat for one of the largest and most viable populations of Bighorn sheep in North America. There are some bruiser rams in our hunt area. Permits for Bighorn sheep are in high demand. Sheep hunting is our passion and specialty. The long season extends from October into February.
Moose
A tribal member recently harvested a Montana record bull. We have an abundance of classic moose habitat to roam with you. September bow season makes a transition to rifle season in October and on into December. We can help you obtain a Permit. Perhaps then we can help you find a teammate on steroids of that record Shiras bull moose.
Black Bear
When our often brutal winters subside we are anxious to hike back into the hills. Spring bear hunts offer a chance to get out as wildflowers and meadowlarks return to Blackfeet Country. Our healthy bear populations include the awesome grizzly. We will help you sort out the difference as we grant the grizzly solace and our profound respect.
Deer & Antelope
Big bucks for each of these species represent a challenge for the best of hunters. Our seasons for mule deer, whitetail and antelope run concurrent. September archery. Rifle in October and on into December. The rut for each species is a great time to chase after swollen necked bucks. Give us a call or e-mail if we can help obtain a Permit for you.
